Damage to the #42 after Dennis lost a tire and
backed into the wall as he was coming to the white flag on lap 299.

OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED ON LTN RADIO...
THE #42 WILL BE HEADING SOUTH THIS WINTER
Posted by Admin on October
29th, 2009
It was officially announced last Sunday on the
LTN Radio show that Dennis Prunty will be prepping
the #42 to head south this winter. After having an amazing season at
Slinger Speedway, finishing
2nd in points and an outstanding run at Oktoberfest in Lacrosse Dennis
isn't ready to call it quits for
the racing season just yet. He is planning to run the 42nd Annual
Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida
December 2nd through the 6th. If you are interested in joining the
#42 team in this racing venture...
please contact Dennis for Sponsorship Opportunities!
.....On the re-start, Panitzke continued to
lead with Prunty right on his back bumper. With five laps to go, Prunty
would go on the inside of Panitzke and take over the top spot. His lead
would grow to five car lengths. Prunty described the winning pass, “I had
a good a run on him and stuck my nose in there and I watched him close and
I zipped right by.” At the checkers it was Prunty with the win while
Panitzke held off a last lap challenge from Becca Kasten for second. Chad
Selk was fourth with Greg Van Gool rounding out the top-five. “I have
traveled before and I never had a car work this good,” a smiling Prunty
said in victory lane, “we put on some new shocks and the car felt real
good.”
SOME SAY THE BEST RACING OF THE
SEASON BETWEEN #42 & #2 FOR THE LEAD!!
Posted by Admin on September
13th, 2009
You can love him or hate him but there's no
denying that Dennis Prunty knows how to put on a show and Sunday was no
exception. He was in a tough side-by-side battle with the #2 of
Lowell Bennett for the lead. Neither would give an inch which
resulted in some beating and banging resulting in the #2 spinning out with
two laps to go. Both cars were sent to the back of the field for
their involvement in the incident. It was definitely a fun battle to
watch! Sure would've been nice to see them come to the checker
together but with racing that close anything can happen. Lowell
Bennett was crowned the Super Late Model Champion and Dennis Prunty
finished 2nd in points.... Congratulations Dennis on a great season!!
#42 FINISHES 4TH AND THE #17 ENDS THE
EVENING WITH A BLOWN ENGINE

Dennis finishes 4th after leading a portion of
the race. Dale's motor expires at Lap 56 to end his night and
possibly his season early.
DALE PRUNTY SHADES BROTHER DENNIS IN
A PHOTO FINISH TO WIN LEROY MEATS/KWIK TRIP 60!!

Slinger, Wis., Aug. 30—Dale Prunty edged his brother Dennis in a photo
finish to win the Leroy Meats/Kwik Trip 60 Sunday night at the Slinger
Super Speedway for his second super late model feature win of the season.
“That’s the way we dream of it and I’m glad
we came out ahead,” Dale Prunty stated after the narrow victory. “I know
Dennis (Prunty) is trying for the points, but I race everybody like
anybody, “Dale Prunty continued, “Brother or not, we kicked his tail.”
“The first thing I8 0m going to do when I
get home is move my transponder forward because I’m sure I had him by at
least a half an inch,” Dennis Prunty said, describing his second place to
the crowd, “Dale (Prunty) had me and I couldn’t touch him. I got inside of
him and I put the car in there where it didn’t belong and at least we came
through without wrecking.”
Mike Egan and Scott Schoeni took the green
flag from the front row and the two swapped the lead in the opening laps
while Jon Reynolds, Brad Mueller, and Dale Prunty lined up behind them.
Dale Prunty used the inside lane to advance to third by lap 15 while Egan
eased his way ahead of Schoeni for the lead.
Dennis Prunty also had his car turning well on the inside and he also
moved forward, grabbing the fourth spot from Mueller on lap 20 as the lead
cars worked lapped traffic. The caution flag waved two laps later when
Cardell Potter slid against the turn two wall. Egan maintained the lead as
racing resumed while Dale Prunty raced into second place with Schoeni
caught on the outside as both Mueller and Dennis Prunty also charged past
him. Dale Prunty tracked
down Egan for the top spot, taking over the
position on lap 26. The handling on Egan’s car began to fade and both
Dennis Prunty and Mueller worked their way by into second and third place
respectively by lap 35 . Dennis Prunty began to erase Dale Prunty’s lead
as they maneuvered their way through lapped traffic with the laps winding
down. With five laps to go, Dennis was planted on Dale’s rear bumper and a
few laps later, turned under Dale exiting turn four as the two crossed the
finish line under the white flag side by side. Neither driver gained an
advantage through turns one and two as they headed into the third turn for
the final time door to door. As they exited turn four with Dale Prunty on
the outside and Dennis Prunty on the inside approaching slower cars on the
inner lane appeared to break Dennis Prunty’s momentum slightly. Dennis
Prunty placed his car between a lapped car and Dale Prunty as the brothers
took the checkered flag nearly even, three wide with the lapped machine.
The electronic scoring revealed Dale Prunty was the winner over Dennis
Prunty while Brad Mueller finished third in one of his best performances
of the season. Mike Egan turned in a strong run with a solid fourth place
finish while Steve Apel also ran a good race in finishing fifth. Matt
Kocourek crossed the finish line in sixth place ahead of Brad Dahmer and
Michael Bilderback in seventh and eighth respectively. Jon Reynolds Jr.
and Lowell Bennett rounded out the top ten finishers.
Dennis Prunty was the winner of the super
late model fast dash and Lowell Bennett blistered the speedway in 11.313
seconds to nail down fast time in the division.
